Put the newly cleaned positive terminal back on first, then move to the ground side. Once the corrosion is cleaned, put the battery terminals back on the posts and see if your Rav4 starts. Cranks but won't start sometimes - fuel pump not getting power. Then other times it starts fine - no discernable pattern. If not, go to the battery fuse box ("fusible link box") just inboard of the positive terminal of the battery. Here is a photo of the fuse box with its cover removed: I would check the appearance of the 80 amp fuse. It has "80A" marked on it. This is the Rav4's main fuse. Try to find the terminals where you can check the continuity across the fuse.If that light is flashing, the RAV will crank but not start. There is a chip inside the key that should make that Security light go out when the key is inserted. The chip in the key must be programmed to the car. Aug 23, 2020 · You need to figure out if it is a fuel problem, spark problem, or something else. Could be a weak or bad fuel pump. Or, as Dr. Dyno mentioned, it could simply be a blown fuse. Check both fuse boxes under the hood, and the one under the dash, and don't rely on visual inspection.
But it never starts and It will not crank with the key. He checked the starter it works and it turns over. He's been testing all electrical circuits for 3days now and nothing. All of the lights work on the dash, radio and everything. There is no security symbol light coming on, and no check engine light on. He is stuck.

Today when I went to start it all lights, radio and cameras work but the engine makes a buzzing noise and won't start. The dash reads "AWD malfunction, 2WD mode engaged" HELP !!!
The ignition switch up to the relay is good. Jump the two big terminals for the relay, if it turns over, the relay is bad. Otherwise, wiring from relay to starter or starter itself is bad. Use test light check for power at small terminal on starter, if you have power there, starter is your problem. N.E.O.
